Chelbesa
A bright and fruit-forward Ethiopian coffee from Chelbesa, in the Gedeo zone of Yirgacheffe. This is a beautifully expressive cup with the floral aromatics, citrus clarity, and layered fruit character that make washed Ethiopian coffees so loved.
In the cup, expect a lively mix of citrus, stone fruit, and delicate floral notes. The profile is complex but clean, with a juicy sweetness and bright acidity that gives the coffee energy without becoming sharp.
This coffee was produced at Chelbesa Washing Station together with smallholder growers in and around the village of Chelbesa. The station is owned by SNAP, a local company focused on developing and moving high-quality Ethiopian coffee forward. They work with 476 growers in the area, many of whom cultivate small plots of land for food crops, cash crops, and coffee.
A vibrant and elegant coffee for anyone who enjoys floral, fruit-driven filter brewing. It works especially well as a pour over or drip coffee, where the citrus, stone fruit, and aromatic complexity can open up clearly in the cup.
